San Andreas played a nice set. A bit too much by the numbers emocore for my tastes, but definitely one of the better Dutch bands in the genre.
San Andreas
I've seen Coheed and Cambria five times now. If I would rank those shows, this one would probably be at number 5. Not bad, but certainly not good.
I liked the bold move of adding background singers: it made the vocals approach the albums more. I'm not sure if it's the difference of accoustics between Melkweg and Tivoli, but I thought the sound sucked. Way to much reverb, ugly bass drum sound and no audible bass guitar.
Compared to the last show in the Melkweg there was almost no interaction with the audience. I'm not much into the endless soloing Coheed always does with their final song, but this time it was somehow even more boring.
Drum solos suck.
Coheed and Cambria
Did I enjoy myself? Yeah, they rocked. They just can rock much harder.

Best,
