Last friday local rehearsal studio Jottum had their yearly party in De Kade. About 12 local bands played.
When I arrived Fearless Skies was already playing. A new local punk band. They play modern hardcore punk. They certainly have potential, but they're not quit there yet. Their show needs to be more energetic, and the band could be tighter.
Fearless Skies
In the other room Madame Helga had started playing. They're own songs are bluesy alternative rock, but a bit too much covers for my tastes.

Back to the smaller room for my friends in Pantherland. Their dark metallic hardcore is getting better and better. Great energetic performance.
Pantherland
Most of the other bands didn't really do much for me. The Matti Experience played middle of the road blues covers. Good musicians, but not very exciting. Pheromone Fairy play the kind of music too much all-girl bands play: safe, cutesey alternative rock.
I'm not that into cover bands, but I must admit, Souldrifters are a great party band.
For old school metal fans Midian is probably great, but musically it's way too boring for me.
